Artist Statement
My paintings are typically based on stories. Since I was a child, I have loved listening to and watching stories. Every week, my father used to bring me storybooks, and my mother would read or tell us stories before bedtime and even during the day. I still remember the times when I listened to FM stories, which inspired me to create paintings based on them. I am interested in many genres of storytelling, such as mythology, love, fairy-tales, musicals, and people's stories. These are the types of stories that have influenced my artistic journey. I also enjoy creating stories related to my own experiences, such as my migration from Odisha to Delhi. My artwork is a reflection of everything I felt during this shift and what I feel today.
