About Artist Ashis Mondal, born in Kolkata, India in 1978, obtained his B.F.A degree from the Indian College of Art & Draftsmanship at Rabindra Bharati University in 2001. He has organized several group and solo exhibitions both in India and overseas. His preferred style of work is conceptual.
Artist Statement My work aims to combine beauty and power, with a focus on capturing the beauty of energy in a visually pleasing form. I drew inspiration from domestic horses for this particular painting, which required a touch of abstraction. To achieve this effect, I opted to use acrylic colors.
