Artist Statement

My childhood days were spent in a remote village in India. Being frequently surrounded by birds and animals of all kinds, and growing up close to them, probably had been the source of all my daydreams. The development of a strong inclination towards the world of paintings also started taking its root during this period. The desire to create something new had been the center of all my thoughts as a child. However, never did I plan to paint myself.  Over the subsequent years, I had to relocate to the city of Kolkata for school education, followed by pursuance of a major degree in Visual Arts from the prestigious institution of Government Art College, Kolkata. Gradually, my determination to stay bonded to the world of fine arts, and contribute lifelong as an artist to this world, grew exceedingly strong.
