Artist Statement
My work is associated with geometric abstraction, abstract illusionism and hard-edged painting. In very brief words my work is on “urban structures”. To me, life is fragmented and layered, a mosaic of experiences interwoven with reflection and intuition: the places we visit, the home or the architecture we live in, the countries we explore- each overlapping and influencing one another. My work has always been revolved around the idea of urbanization. Blending contemporary and classical approaches to painting and composition, I examine how human experience, place, and personal memory effect one’s perception of self.
