About Artist
Anita Kumari is an artist based in Patna, Bihar, INDIA. She completed her M.F. A, in Painting 2006 from Jamia, Milla. Islamia, New Delhi. She has been practicing the art since then and has done many solo and group shows across the country.

Artist Statement
My source of painting is nature and the objects of the world in which I lived. I craft indigenous elements of my culture accessible to spectator. Believing in facts and experience I comprise the world onto my canvas. I try to express variety of experience through the combination of mundane affairs, nature and society. I approach and treats the image as the boundary. All my work is built around the form of object which connects our past to future. My subject reflects multilayer emotion of socio culture which is developing with passing time and hold a prominent role of social culture how things being transformed. A woman is the most significant symbolic content I used to celebrate in my works. Woman is the sacred content of society and the whole society revolves around women. My works are the interpretation of society and women of 21st century. There is always a dialogue between women and society from past to present. The society creates norms, value, rules and regulation to control, Sometime the love and lust also play an important role to suppress her desire and freedom.
